Former Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries member Beverley Sibanda has torched a storm after her semi-nude pictures, while performing at the Harare International Carnival Samba Night, at the Airport Lounge went viral on the social network.
In the pictures, she is seen making sexual moves to a man who she instructs to lie down.
Prophet Walter Magaya's problem child seemed to have been possessed by a seven-fold demon as she went on stage wearing a scanty night gown and thongs, leaving very little to imagination.
Bev's manager Harpers Mapimhidze said it was a 'No under 21' show and professed ignorance on how the pictures were leaked.
"Yes it is Bev performing at a private joint but it is not the dancer's problem. The problem is with the people who are circulating the pictures," he said.
Commenting on the pictures, women rapped Beverly for her performance.
Faith Joana Kumbula said Bev, as she is affectionately known, was a bad role model for the youths.
"So is this what she was showing visitors who came for the carnival? She is a bad example to young girls," she said.
Others called on the Censorship Board to ban her performances.
"She just has to be banned from performing on stage. This is very evil," fumed Lenny Staicy Zawanda.
Others said Beverley was now possessed and need to return to the PHD Ministries church.
This also added to public anger after organisers of Harare International Carnival, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, came under fire from traditional chiefs and members of the public for the 'indecency' exhibited during the carnival procession on Saturday.
Chief's council president Fortune Charumbira blasted the organisers saying the event diluted Zimbabwe's cultural practices.
"Our cultural practises were left out and we heard many bad things happened there (at the carnival). I feel we should have been included," he said.
The only traditional chief present was Chief Musarurwa.
Tourism and Hospitality Industry deputy minister Walter Kanhanga was questioned by senators why they had allowed semi-nude people to stroll the streets of Harare during the carnival last weekend.
Kanhanga was also grilled on why his ministry did not include traditional leaders who are the custodians of Zimbabwe's culture if, according to event organisers, the event had to do with culture.
This was raised during a question and answer session in the Senate.
"Yes, in our culture it is bad to see people naked, but in this case we were celebrating cultural diversity. People came in from various countries with their different cultures to showcase them at the event," ," said Kanhanga.
